Syria’s Lost is an app developed by Alesa Ai to collect and store documents, data, information and
reports on people who had been disappeared or went missing during the Assad Regime.
The first stage of the App is to collect, store and collate as much data as possible. The second
stage of Syria’s Lost is to use AI to allow for the information to be formatted into LLM datasets
and RAG databases, then searched and analysed to bring closure for those in Syria.
This app is available on android initially as iPhones are illegal in Syria at present, however we
will soon be releasing an iOS version for use outside of Syria.

With the fall of the Assad Regime, prisons, police stations and government buildings are now being
searched by families looking for missing loved ones. This search for documents and files on their
loved ones is leading to the loss of that information as documents not related to their loved ones,
are often discarded on tables and floors during these searches. Over time these documents and files
will become damaged beyond legibility.
Syrians around the world, not just within Syria, have been subjected to the atrocities of Assad and
the objective of this app is to preserve every bit of information before it is lost, to help bring
closure to those who have suffered.
مع سقوط نظام الأسد، تقوم العائلات الآن بتفتيش السجون ومراكز الشرطة والمباني الحكومية بحثًا عن
أحبائهم المفقودين. هذا البحث عن الوثائق والملفات المتعلقة بأحبائهم يؤدي إلى فقدان هذه المعلومات، حيث
يتم غالبًا إلقاء الوثائق غير المتعلقة بأحبائهم على الطاولات والأرضيات أثناء هذه العمليات. ومع مرور
